Pre-Wedding Workout

We’re 14 days from our wedding, and Ryan will be out of town next week. {Cue icy stares and eye rolling} Soooo, we came up with this workout that I can do at home while he’s gone.

Piper’s Cardio Sandwich {AKA, sweat dripping out of my belly button}

3 mile run
40 lunges with 25 pound weight
40 burpees with jumps
40 push ups
40 straight leg deadlifts
40 rows
Run 1 mile (if G is down)

Hopefully this will help tighten it all up 🙂

Today, G told  me “cheet”, brought me my shoes, and climbed in the stroller. The “dink du” I got for this popsicle was precious. And now he knows how to get anything he wants…

Take my hand, take my whole life too

Ryan is on day 29 {not that he’s counting} of straight days at work, and doesn’t have a day off until he leaves for Canada on Friday. Toss in a trip to Texas with Grayson 3 weeks before our wedding and I . Am. FRIED.

I only wish I’d read this while we were out of town. I need these reminders that G is still new at being a person, and needs more patience and understanding then I seem to posess.

Dear Mama,

I’m sorry that I threw your phone in the garbage.  And screamed in Target because you wouldn’t let me shoplift goldfish crackers.  Oh, and for eating my boogers at dinner and for having a meltdown because you buttered the wrong side of my waffle yesterday morning.

It’s hard being two.  The world is big and I’m becoming more aware of myself everyday.  There are so many things to learn.  No one here speaks my language, and you are forcing me to learn yours.  I don’t have a volume button, and I don’t have words for everything I want, need, or feel.  People see that I am not a tiny baby anymore, but they forget that I am still pretty new in the world and have a hard time remembering when I’m ‘sposed to “behave”.

I get tired easily.  I get hungry often.  Those things make me cranky.  Daddy…

Table Scapes

Toasting Table at the Gallery:

I actually have a table that is just like this, but with gold feet! Topped with a bottle of glittery champagne, 6 art deco flutes for our parents and Sarah, and our pretty hammered flutes for Ryan and I. Clear glass champagne bucket, which I *think* I might have, and maybe a small bouquet in mercury glass to tie in the pewter with all of the gold?

Sweetheart Table at Blind Bear:

Thank goodness for my sweet sister taking over this sequin tablecloth monster. I wanted one to go all the way to the floor, but the ones we were able to find for rental were 80″ squares, which would leave me showing some {table} leg. So, we’re buying the fabric and then I’m going to turn them into curtains. Score! Topped with a messy/glittery cake from Yolo Bakes, a little champagne , and a small ranunculus bouquet in a clear glass vase. Or maybe I should just plunk my bouquet in there?

New Challenge

So, I’ve reached my initial goal of 135, but there are still some areas that I’m not happy with {gross lower tummy, I’m talking to you!}. So, my goal for the next month is to run 100 miles. Doesn’t matter if I do it 3 miles a day, or knock it out in eight 12- milers, just do it. Concrete goals help me focus so much more than saying something like “run more”. Since we’re going to Austin next week, we shall see how this goes 🙂
