How to keep a toddler busy :)

Saturday the 7th :
Cooper-Young Farmer’s Market in the parking lot at First Congo
Free Admission to the Dixon Gardens from 8-10 am. There’s a free art class that starts at 10:30 {Directions}

Free concert at Levitt Shell at Overton at 7:30. Parking is *terrible*, just FYI 🙂

Germantown Festival: You need tickets for kid’s rides, but they’re lots of fun. Take 50 billion water bottles. Eat a snowcone for me 🙂 {Info}

Food Truck Rodeo at Shelby Farms. This would also be a good time for the Woodland Discovery Park and then a nap! {Directions}

Nothing special going on, but maybe a good day for the zoo!

Avoid the zoo in the afternoon. It gets bonkers!

Memphis Fire Museum is 2 for 1 admission, and under 2 is free. It’s lots of fun! {Directions} You’ll be near the fountains at Government Plaza, if you want to go play and cool off. Parking can be a little bit of a pain, so I’d recommend just going to the nearest parking garage with G.

Free admission to the Pink Palace {off of Central}.  It’s close enough that it isn’t  overly frustrating if it doesn’t work out, and has lots of parking

Nothing especially exciting happening 🙂

It will be hot. It will be crowded. It will be awesome. Eat a corn dog for me 🙂

Sleep. Get a Massage. Sleep some more. 🙂

I was ALL over the map while wedding planning. Garden wedding with a food truck reception? Sold! Elopement in Greece? Sold! And as we inched closer to a date….Courthouse wedding? Sold!

But, when it came down to it, we both wanted to do something a little less involved than a full wedding, and a lot more special than the courthouse. Our solution? A private ceremony with our parents and G (well, we tried to include G!) We both have large families, so we made the difficult decision to keep it uber-small to avoid hurting more feelings than necessary. Our original plan was to have a reception in September to include everyone, but, sometimes life gets in the way of plans 🙂

I honestly couldn’t be more pleased with our wedding video! Garrett did an impeccable job, and it turned out so lovely. He really captured “us”, and we will forever treasure this! Now, to be patient while waiting for our pictures from the FAB Lindsey Lissau 🙂

This is the first time I’ve been able to capture all of those little bits of G that I don’t want to forget. Those still soft cheeks, pillowy little lips, hands dirty from digging in the backyard, and toes roughed … Continue reading
